    AmazonBasics 4.7 GB 16x DVD-R (100-Pack Spindle)

    • I tried burning more slowly than 16x, have tried different files, no dice
    • player(as long as you burn dvd structured files of course).I want to let every body know that I am an independent user, and my reviews are not influenced by any company
    • because i cant get the right file types converted to burn onto these disks, i dont have a good converter so the file types wont burn, but these were packaged nicely and no damage from shipping so theyre good.
    • In other words, if you have a DVD burner that supports a transfer rate of 32X and you are burning your files onto a 16X blank DVD, the maximum speed your burner will be able to use is 16X, even though though your burner is capable of burning at a faster rate.
    • I have used these to burn many different files and have had almost no bad discs.
    • I typically use DVD's for burning movies, files, and photo's (mostly movies), and I haven't had one disc yet that has worked properly
    • On macs try using your Disk Utility to burn a file to see if it works.
    • My studio has been using these DVD's to burn raw photo files as a backup for over a year now.
    • I've had no problems burning videos or .iso files to these, and they seem to be usable on dvd players old and new
    • So for that it's good, but, again, compatibility with a dvd player for tv viewing will depend on technical expertise and having the correct hardware and correct files formatted to the disc.
    • Solid state drivers are too unpredictable and when they lose your files, they're gone
    • Almost had a coaster with one disc, but it was saved with multi-session, and writen over the bad files that didn't burn right
    • Note that all these discs were used on the same new computer, attempting to burn the same files
    • Waste your money as any Amazon customer i though their products would be of good quality
    • As it turns out, the spindle broke in half (roughly), and some discs ended up falling out haphazardly and perhaps got scratched as I fumbled around with them.
