The monopod with its nice cushy grip and being collapsible, also makes for a nice walking stick with a threaded foot at the end which when tightened leaves a pointed but not sharp end of the metal shaft sticking out and when loosened you have a rubber tip that takes its place

It has a nice grip that makes it pleasing to hold and it comes with a bag so traveling with this is convienent.

Also, the AmazonBasics monopod comes with a carrying case which is very cool!GRIP

I haven't tried it, but looking at the solid foot (and metal spike) as well as the thick foam grip, I've thought more than once that it could also function as a walking stick

The grip is good and the latches for the extension work well, but it would be nicer if it could shrink up further than it does, or if the case was slightly larger
