Nice little power hub

Just not quite enough power on the ports to make it work great.

My Apple Superdrive needs more power with this hub, although it will work with other powered hubs

Dedicated external power source and good construction make me feel like I purchased a quality product

In addition, the power and USB computer connections are quite loose

good design, but does not really have enough power output to handle more than 2 devices, and WILL NOT charge an iPhone 5

This is an ok powered hub that works well for USB 2.0 (not 3.0).

Now powers everything including my portable power backup and my IPhone

Maybe those will draw more power and require the hub to be plugged in, but for now it works great.

Not the most USB power available or the most USB ports on a hub that you can buy, but it's about the best your can get for this price.

A lot of USB devices draw power from the host computer (like, phone chargers, etc) and if you plu them into a hub without its own power supply, they are likely to make the entire hub unreliable

I had other USB hubs in the past and every time I would plug in more than two things I would get an error it didn't have enough power to operate.

Plus this comes with a nice power supply to power 2 of the ports with added power for peripherals that draw more than a trickle (ie an external hard drive).

I've found that the ones powered by the PC often have problems if you have more than one or two devices plugged in.--Very affordableCONS:--I wish the power cord were longer--the unit is unstable

I don't generally use this for most my hard drives as they are 3.0, but for a basic 2.0 this works flawlessly and supplies a good power to devices that need it.

Having the 4amp power supply is also nice when you need to charge up a few how power devices like Ipads or other tablets.

Performance is great and it actually provides power to the ports, others I had didn't work as expected but with this one I was able to power 3 External 1 TB disks with no problems.

Nice product, it comes with 2 cables, it can be connected to a PC for power, but comes with it's own power supply as well.

The bright red led power light is a bit annoying in a dark room but easily countered with a piece of electrical tape.

I have expensive joysticks plugged into them and there is no problems with power management or shorting (especially if you are plugged into a surge protective power strip)

(The internal Mac Mini USB ports will sometimes not provide enough power plus a signal, so this helps a lot.)

It works as advertised but you will want a charger with greater output power.

i have three AOC monitors, a bluray drive, and an Apricorn 1TB encrypted USB drive, all of which take two USB ports each, and MOST of the 7-port USB hubs on the market don't have big enough power supplies to power all 7 ports running at 0.5A each!

I saw nothing in the instructions referring to the weird power plug on the end of the power cord
