This USB 2.0 hub is forward-compatible with USB 3.0 devices, but will run at USB 2.0 speed, which is what my somewhat old iMac provides (e.g. you can't use USB 3.0 speed unless EVERYTHING connected is USB 3.0 -- so be careful which unit you buy.)
