This is a very creatively made product that looks like ebony stained wood and offers three adjustable heights

This provide the bottom two height levels I could work with plus providing some storage capability underneath

M has more knobs for more height variability... but this one is a bit more stable, only 2 heights though

The Kantek unit is longer and wider and its height is more adjustable because of the different sized blocks provided for the legs.

To me the small price advantage of the Amazon Basics platform is negated by the wider footprint, more flexible (and maximum) height adjustment, and cable management offered by the Kantek platform.

The height is perfect with the two of the leg units that cam with it.

They're sturdier than I had anticipated and at their tallest state, they put your monitor at a nice height and give you the desk space underneath the stand to use (I have my laptop under one and a speaker under the other)
