I would suspect that if your dash does not have a large enough surface area there maybe an issue of it remain on the dash during tight turns/emergency maneuvers.'Maneuverability' is excellent because it is not semi/permanently stuck in one place

The smooth central surface is large enough to accept the suction-type base on pretty much any device holder.

This item stays put on the dash and provides good surface to attach a suction cup.
