Anything less than 1amp will cause for slow charging rates and poor performance when transferring data through the cord

The cable I’ve kept in my car is still in great condition and charges rather quickly, however, the second cable I used with the wall charge only lasted a few months before it started to fall apart where the cable is connected to the phone connector end.

However, using this cable instead of the short, flimsy charging cable that Apple gave me decreased my charging time from 7 hours to 2, and that's almost a compete 0-100% charge
