Made loud popping/crackling noises when hooked up to my monitor (along with intermittent displays of the screen mixed with white flashes and then complete blackness...)

Recently I plugged it into my new 4K TV and saw only false color and green noises on screen

The picture and sound transferred through but, the screen turned fuzzy with a loud annoying noise
