I've had several different types of water heating appliances because I love tea.

If you want a good quality electric tea kettle that isn’t expansive, this one is perfect

It does bother me a little that you can only fill it up about 2/3rds of the way, but it's a good budget kettle and can make about 3 servings of tea/hot chocolate/whatever, which is all I really need it for

I simply fill it up with tap water to my desired amount (500 ml for a large mug), and by the time I place the loose tea leaves in my Grosche tea infuser, the boiling water is ready to go.

This is fine for steeping tea or making cocoa, but it doesn't get hot enough to make ramen which is why I bought it

It doesnt burn my loose leaf tea or give it that bitter taste
