It has nice foam padding inside, room to store games, and it holds your Joy-Cons attached to the switch

Inside it lined with very dense foam, that has been cut out to fit the Switch and the Joy Cons perfectly.

It fits much more securely than you average soft case, and actually has specially molded spaces for the Joy Cons to fit in.
