Two-stars because it does work, but the non-optional power saving feature really kills functionality.
-
It doesn't get incredibly loud, nor does it have impressive bass
-
The second one does have issues
-
The sounds is average and does not get very loud.
-
This little number does the trick!
-
Not very loud, but does it's job
-
This speaker does sound good, better then I was expecting in fact
-
This does not work with echo.
-
APPEARANCEIt does boil down to personal choice, but I found the JAMBOX to both look and feel nicer (and come in more colors)
-
Anyway my taste generally lies with Floyd, AC/DC, Led Zep and the like (especially during the summer when I'll be using this most), and this unit does a killer job pumping it out even at high volumes
-
so sound notification of new emails does not work alone with headphones as the computer does not recognize speakers connected with nothing plugged into ports in the back.
-
Cons: does not include a charger (does come with a very short usb cable), the LED on the top is large and very bright (it flashes my entire bedroom ceiling at night, I had to cover it with electrical tape)
-
only lasted about ten minutes.- I did like that the "Jam Party" was ported, I just feel like these smaller units benefit from that ability to move air, but this one does it well without any ports that I can see, however the AmazonBasics has the woofer that the other does not have
-
Amazon does stress that volume will affect battery life
-
I wasn't expecting great sound, but was pleasantly surprised by just how well this speaker does, even when cranked up a bit
