It works good but no volume

And the volume isn't loud enough for large rooms or outdoor use

Decent design and volume

The volume is pretty impressive too - looking forward to using this during cookouts this spring and summer.

It really has great sound for how small it is, and it certainly puts out enough volume for most occasions

But I rated it 5 stars for: ease of use, ability to go forward or backward to the next song using the buttons on top, volume levels for my use in the living room, and battery life

The sound is good for its size/price, very little distortion if any at full volume, which is a decent volume

However, JBL max volume was not as loud as HDMX max volume.- Bass given more emphasis on HDMX, but JBL was much more smooth and balanced

but I found the problem was the volume sent by my Galaxy S5 and not a problem with the speaker.

this small box has a great volume and I only need to keep the volume on the iPhone in the middle and the speaker sounds loud.

Decent volume

The volume on the Dot itself without the speaker is louder than the speaker (but sounds horrible)If I can figure out the volume I would give it a higher rating.

It's got good enough volume to provide a small party with background music (dinner on the patio with friends or something like that) and for podcasts, it's crystal clear.

It works a treat -- much better than the two speaker i-Home (too many cords, insufficient volume) or the Ecoxgear (insufficient volume; flimsy, quickly useless recharging port) that I tried previously

I generally use it outdoors, and find the volume and range of connectivity to be fine for my needs.

I'm giving this one to my daughter but at least she's aware of the behavior.a short term "fix" was to make a 2 min silent audio file with a 1 second tone to keep the speaker initialized and then running it as a loop set to low enough volume to register but not enough to annoy me, it's been working great.

Good volume output

If you are are looking for deep rich bass, this is probably not what you are looking for, it simply lacks the volume and driver to generate significant bass.
