You don't need to be an IT/networking professional to integrate it into your home network, but a good basic understanding of how to set up your home network and setting static ip addresses is a must.

Impossible for me to get them set-up, had to have them set up over the phone, had to get static IP address and continually had connection issues

I should mention I had to set this camera up on a private LAN with a static IP, so this was not your normal vanilla set up.
