Good things; the drum machine is awesome and very useful

The drum machine, reverb and gain giving me a great fuzz is amazing for just 3 watts!

The built in features are the real selling point especially for beginner as this has a built-in tuner (still a great idea to eventually have a chromatic tuner, even clip-on tuners are handy especially if you have acoustics too), a drum machine with enough options and built-in tap tempo adjust to create drum backing for just about anyone's needs, effects like reverb and echo and 4 channels from clean to some pretty screaming metal.

First some of the imperfections, FYI, the distortions are low gain with Fender type single coils, but are OK if your guitar has humbuckers

The distortion and metal settings are just slightly hotter overdrives, if you need a lot of gain, you might have to look elsewhere

The gain knob is the only means by which you can balance the volume of the drum machine and the guitar, and the gain knob requires a distortion mode be active, though the "overdrive" setting is rather clean anyway

It has two little speakers instead of one, which helps it sound a little bigger, less like a clock radio

If you want good sound and volume with some ambiance, the Blackstar is the way to go, but if you want a portable practice amp with a relative boat load of features that come in a light weight little box, this little ammoon is the way to go.

Quality is good, i highly recommend this amp.

Overall a good buy for the beginner!

It gets more than loud enough for the solo-practicer which is why my neighbor for whom I bought this for his kids, was very happy to know there IS a headphone jack
