I would prefer a spring tightening mechanism on the sides only, like my iOttie holders, so I can choose where the side clamps sit to have the buttons free.

The mechanism this thing uses to grab and lock onto the phone is pretty neat, but the build quality is light and flimsy and does not inspire confidence in its ability to hold my $1000 phone

This only works a) if the phone is heavy enough and b) the charger is vertically mounted.
