Anker 3-Port USB 3.0 Aluminum Portable Data Hub with Gigabit Ethernet Port Network Adapter for Mac, PC, USB Flash Drives and Other Devices

    • USB ports work, Ethernet does not
    • , the usb 3.0 ports also work as intended
    • To recover you must pull the device from the host PC's USB port and re-insert
    • An issue I've had is when there was a surge on the adapter when an iPhone 6+ was plugged in that killed the Surface Pro USB port - also noticed that using Logitech Unifying receiver, the port was somewhat laggy.
    • Great little port, nice quality finish, looks great alongside all my Apple/Mac accessories
    • Newer model super portable laptops tend to lack an ethernet port and only have one USB port.
    • The Ethernet port doesn't work on modern versions of MacOS (OSX) because the driver isn't signed
    • I bought it to replace the bad ethernet port on my computer
    • and I love that it expands the usb3 ports options as well as allow me to connect network cables to do router configurations and use in server rooms as well
    • The Ethernet port works whenever, and it a problem with the computer picking up on it
    • Not only did it provide me with a solution for Ethernet, it provided three additional USB 3.0 ports and cleaned up my desktop by moving the extra ports away from the computer.
    • The three ports are wonderful for data transfers, but do not try to charge on them if everything is loaded
    • This replaced a burnt out computer ethernet port and works perfectly
    • My UltraBook has 3x USB3 and came with a USB-to-100Mbit adapter reducing it to 2 available ports
    • The most common problem with traveling with MacBook Air is not enough USB ports and Pay-for-connection WiFi in hotels
    • Nice thick cable, solid chassis, ports don't wobble or move when inserting/removing peripherals
    • The Anker 3-port solved my issue and for a very reasonable price
    • arrived earlier than expected, works great with my ultrabook that doesn't have an ethernet port and limited number of USBs
    • Also works just fine as an ethernet port, which was part of the reason I bought it in the first place.
    • Nice little port.
    • I did get a unit with slightly misaligned ports.
    • The ethernet port works great
    • and I love extra USB ports on it
    • All usb ports and ethernet ports works well
    • I get very good Ethernet speeds (true gigabit Ethernet, or 941 Mb/s to be exact, according to several runs of iperf), and there's more than enough USB3 ports when I need one
    • Excited to have this and love the USB ports as I always need more!
    • Speeds seem fine using all three USB 3.0 ports at the same time
    • The ultrabook also only has two USB ports, so the extra ports on this device are quite valuable
    • The ethernet port on it just isn't reliable.
    • We keep these in our I-T toolkits for use with thin notebooks that are not equipped with RJ45-ethernet, since thin-books don't have room for RJ45 connector, and they sometimes don't have enough USB ports, either
    • The Ethernet port worked perfectly with my Yoga
    • I fond this USB port very practical with the ethernet connection
    • The design is an obvious no brainer for the port deficient machines that come out of Cupertino.
    • This allows me to use both a keyboard and mouse along with the ethernet cable and still have a additional port free for another item which is usually a thumb drive
    • The ethernet port works.
    • I then went into device manager and disabled the bad ethere port
    • Although I knew that the newer laptops did not come with an ethernet port, when a attempted to do work that required a major data transfer, I missed that ethernet port
    • The 3-port USB did not work
    • I have a new macbook (the one with the weird one port USB-C)
    • MOST AMAZING PORT: NO DRIVERS
    • Sturdy construction, enough ports for a laptop, instant connection, no software.
    • I primarily needed it for the ethernet port, but the 3 USB 3.0 ports are an awesome bonus
    • I've had all three USB 3.0 plugs being used as well as the Ethernet port with zero problems
    • It's great as a low profile "dock" from my Surface 4 (providing wired internet as well as additional ports), and to clean up the desk a little for my laptop being used as a desktop
    • As a bonus I now have 3 additional USB 3 ports available on this device I can use for other ISB devices.
    • My ethernet port on my computer got damaged
    • The USB 3.0 ports on this are quick as well
    • USB 3 ports works without doing anything
    • All in all, this is a great buy if you don't want to waste a thunderbolt port on your mac just for ethernet or if you want to have more USB ports in general.
    • I bought this to go with my Dell M3800, a thin laptop with no wired ethernet and precious few USB ports.
    • Since I can return to Amazon relatively easily, I purchased this device, so that I can free up both my Thunderbolt ports on my 13" Macbook Pro, and have a few extra USB 3 ports at the same time, but I did so apprehensively reading the concerns with drivers and thru-put here, and especially one review that said that the ethernet port is hanging off a USB2 Hub in the USB device tree, suggesting that thru-put would be capped at USB2 speeds
    • Love it--adds ports and missing ethernet connection
    • Going back to the product, Anker 3-Port USB 3.0 worked flawlessly
