USB ports work, Ethernet does not
-
This works great, and actually supports USB 3.0 speeds with my external SSD.
-
I figured I might as well find another USB to Ethernet hub... why not Anker
-
I bought this to compliment the requisite USB 3.0 to USB-C adapter for a 2015 MacBook
-
But I could have done that with a much cheaper USB hub.
-
Would give 5 stars if they used a different Ethernet chip instead of the Realtek, it would be nice to have a higher performance chip (especially given the improved USB 3.0 speed of this USB hub), and it would be nice to have a chip that worked "out of the box" without requiring a driver download.
-
The USB and ethernet didn't work on my Macbook Pro
-
The most common problem with traveling with MacBook Air is not enough USB ports and Pay-for-connection WiFi in hotels
-
but I must say this USB hub plus ethernet adapter works better than expected.
-
USB 3 work well, but I haven't tested speed

USB 3 work well, but I haven't tested speed

Great for unpowered USB devices like USB drives
-
Going back to the product, Anker 3-Port USB 3.0 worked flawlessly
-
Internet speed is much faster and the USB 3.0 is great too
-
But great non the less 3.0 usb and
-
But I have an Apple USB 3.0 Smart Drive, an external USB 3.0 1TB back up HDD (with its own external power), and a USB 2.0 mouse connected to the Anker
-
I no longer use the ethernet port and the USB ports are starting to flake out.-------------------------------------------------USB works great but the ethernet cuts out and disappears after standby, UNTIL you install the patch for your Mac from the Anker website.
-
USB mouse lags or stops working all together
-
We keep these in our I-T toolkits for use with thin notebooks that are not equipped with RJ45-ethernet, since thin-books don't have room for RJ45 connector, and they sometimes don't have enough USB ports, either
-
Both USB and Ethernet throughput are great, and it has no problem powering at least one external USB drive
-
Unfortunately though, my computer doesn't have enough USB drives for all of that
-
Freezes USB IO.
-
The USB to Ethernet adapter works great.
-
Very good product, USB 3.0 and gigabit for the price of 1 adapter from apple.
-
The 3-port USB did not work
-
Additionally the USB 3.0 increases the number of UPS drives I have on my laptop
-
I get great USB 3 speeds plus an Ethernet port
-
It also works well from within a Parallels virtual machine running windows 7 - again - after you install the driver (and the Parallels USB 3 support).
-
In conclusion, this is a great USB hub that would be slightly better with a little extra cord length.
-
I prefer ethernet whenever possible and this device allows me to use it at my desk with a ethernet cord as well as some additional USB peripherals
-
USB 3.0 speeds are great, Ethernet works perfectly
-
It works perfectly fine as a USB to Ethernet adapter.

So, currently it seems to me that this is a fine USB hub for lower power items such as plugging in a mouse, a speaker set, and a thumb drive all together at once, OR a single solo larger usb portable drive (with none of the other items plugged in), and for occasional use of the ethernet jack with no other devices plugged in.
-
I ordered this mainly for the Gigabit ethernet, and the USB was just an added plus, but this doesn't work very well for my USB mouse
-
Have a nice Logitech with USB dongle available
-
speeds• This USB adapter does not support network booting for recovery purposes or imaging purposes a Mac, which the Thunderbolt adapter does
-
Even if you don't use it for the ethernet ability, it works well to give you three USB 3.0 (and backwards-compatible for USB 2.0) inputs
-
Love this USB and Gig E port, I use it on a Mac and it worked right off the box
-
USB 3.0 is fantastic
-
I have other USB devices that work fine in the same laptop, so the problem is not the USB port on the laptop
-
This is a great USB 3.0 hub for any desktop or laptop
-
However, the USB does work well for charging my phone and other electronics.
-
This is another handy Anker USB device

USB 3 ports works without doing anything
-
Excellent usb hub, and great delivery time!
-
I bought this to go with my Dell M3800, a thin laptop with no wired ethernet and precious few USB ports.
-
It also works well from within a Parallels virtual machine running windows 7 - again - after you install the driver (and the Parallels USB 3 support).
-
It makes me not have to decide what important USB device I have to unplug to get the USB thumb stick in
