The one they supply only connects the portable battery to the outlet (but you still need the base with prongs).

This can almost refill the SE 2x, and the SE already gets great battery life so this is SUPER HANDY

I read in the booklet that it shouldn't need to be recharged that often but for some reason my Anker Powercore+ has poor battery life.

The battery drains while the device is not in use and the charge does not last long enough to charge a phone below 25% battery life.

so I wouldn't constantly worry about not having enough battery life on my phone.

That is a reasonable price for the guarantee that I'll never be stuck with a dead phone battery.

Also can’t help but think it drains the battery unnecessarily.

I got some really good external batteries from Anker before, but I'm one of the odd men out with this Anker Powercore+ mini 3350 mAh external battery.

Once this portable battery is fully charged it stays that way for quite awhile, and I can charge my iPhone almost 2 full times
