No problems, worked as expected

Works as expected, we have occasional power outages and all the electronics automatically switch over to this battery.

The unit has worked as expected on the two occasions we've had power blips in our rural community.

It is just what I wanted for a great price on Prime Day.

It has provided enough backup so that I have never needed a shutdown.

Very good battery backup, if your running something that is not too power hungry, it will run it for over an hour

Had to turn off the "smart" power feature, but it's been solid

A nice feature is the digital display which shows you some operating parameters as well as a count of power interruption events.

The display does not stay on - a reasonable feature to conserve power when it's a battery-powered device, but still, an option to have the display stay on longer would have been nice

Love the new feature that disables the alarm when power goes off.

It provides proprietary features that just aren't going to be provided by your OS natively

The unit is solid and good values with AVR for brownouts

The battery will still bleed even if it outside the APC but not as fast as when it is inserted in the usable position

Mine does it but it does not bother me as much as it bothers some of the reviewers.

mine works great looks great but smells like cat urine...strongly....have had it out in a open room for several days its still as strong as ever...wonder if its battery acid?but smell aside this is a great value

Great display for information showing how much power is being used and more juice than most APCs.

The UPS has an LED display letting you know how much current is going through your system

I like the display that shows time left on battery use, power in, and power out

It has an nice display which shows the power draw, estimate running time, and actual time left.

I was expecting the display to be a gimmick, but it does provide some helpful information about the current load, remaining time on battery (based current load), etc

But my last purchase failed by killing my land phone line for 2 days until I found that the problem was in the BR1000g

In a world with very bad customer service and poor follow-through from just about every manufacturer, and painful RMA /exchange processes, APC is almost Amazon-like with regards to great customer service and honoring their manufacturer warranty

Batteries in the units seem to last about 1 year and a half in my experience and replacement batteries are easily ordered via Amazon.the free prime shipping alone on these is worth the prime subscription cost, although my UPS driver may not agree.

I easily re-packed my defective APC UPS in the box that came with my new unit, then I slapped the free return-shipping label on the box and brought it to a FedEx drop-off location

This APC 1500VA UPS now keeps my iMac and numerous hard drives up and running when the power flickers

I have a couple of these now, our power flickers quite frequently and this keeps everything running.

Got tired of power flickers resetting cable box and modem

Before this, I really couldn't use a desktop computer as the power flickers too much.

Also of note, the unit does make a rather loud buzzing sound when it fails over to battery.

The unit also makes a whiny/buzzing sound whenever the screen is on, but that goes away when the screen turns off.

To test the system, I disconnected the power, and the battery lasted for over 2 hours of use with the TV on vivid display and the sound at a fun level for watching movies with a friend

If you wake the display on the APC it makes an even more annoying buzzing sound.

You can track long term power issues and usage by using the software.
