I recommend APC backups to all my customers.

Have to read the fine-print... this is a great power backup and has a USB connection for automatic shutdown of your PC in the event of a power failure.

The backup is good for a few minutes and covers minor outages

Wgen you have an outage the beeping is every 30 secs to 1 min and then to boot does not provide adequate backup died within 30 mins

Can't really fault the device however, it is a good backup and if my outages don't last more than an hour or so, it will prevent uncontrolled shutdown of my NAS.

The backup is also very quiet (actually silent)

So I have a useless battery backup that does not work even though all indications are it is operating normally
