Apogee has great software that comes with it's interfaces as well, leaving you total control as far as assigning input/outputs, adjusting levels, and assigning buttons A,B, and C for different tasks

If you're open to a non-iPad soundcard solution, I'd also HIGHLY recommend the UAD Solo Twin as it has onboard DSP for UAD plugins - the best sounding ones I've heard yet
