I assume that anyone with enough music for a 40GB is inherently an audiophile, so buy new headphones

You can use the same idea to create playlists of classical music only, rock music only, etc., so that you don't get an ear-shattering Jimi Hendrix jam in the middle of your bedtime soft music shuffle!
