so maybe I will notice a slight drag when the disc is closer to full, but let's be fair here and admit that the non-Nana ipods are hard drive devices and you should allow a LITTLE patience

the device itself is great, click wheel works perfectly, movies look great and hard drive size is awesome

The Ipod device itself is pretty reliable and simplistic.

This device is easy to use, the sound quality is good, and also has been a very convenient player since it's 80G storage capacity is several times more than I need now.

but it's the only downfall to this otherwise perfect device.

I can't offer a highly technical evaluation for I have only the one...nothing to compare it to...but for the pure joy of hearing my music in such a compact and portable device, I can't imagine much better.

As a teen in the early 90's I fondly wished that someday in the future I would be able to fit all of my music onto one small, portable device and have any song just a click away

Now if I want to use these portable video devices I need one of these special cables partially defeating the point of having these custom devices

I don't think the device is perfect, but is suits my needs the best and what I think the general public needs are.

The bottomline is: if you are not one of the early jumpers when a new device is introduced, this device is perfectly cool for you
