A software reset fixed the screen brightness issue and it looked like the problem was fixed, but then immediately after the nano got very hot while syncing my 16 gigs of music and stopped working entirely

I had the previous nano and liked it except that I didn't like the ways you could 'hold/handle' it when at the gym, on a walk, etc

but I dont think it's as user friendly as the older Nano which had a separate screen from the menu dial.

I was not trilled about the look of it, i really liked the ipod nano in the classic

I was finding this very boring and the time dragged as I watched the clock in anticipation of finishing my workout.
