This is just a very simple, hassle-free device that can definitely make you at peace with your music, especially when your primary smartphone/music player (mine is Android) is freezing and lagging.

Computer sees it as an unknown device with zero'ed out identifiers, iTunes has no clue it's there.

I started messing with the connection and the iPod would come up as an 'Unknown' device or it would be recognized as an 'Apple Mobile Device

For what it is, the shuffle is a fantastic little device; its compact, sports excellent battery life, and is astoundingly resilient thanks to its aluminum
