It is reliable, has great battery life, s strong clip, a simple operation (once you learn the very few instructions), decent memory at 2 GB and good sound.

The clip - it has a strong enough spring, but the gripping end of the clip might be better if it were shaped more like the business end of scissors, with a pinch point extruding from the body of the iPod, not just a protrusion from the clip

If you're 5 hours into an 8 hour audio book, you may accidentally click the rewind button and return to the start of the book (quite easy to do--especially trying to pinch the clip on the tiny device).

In fact, the only real complaint that I have is that with the new, smaller, form factor and the nearly industrial-strength hinge spring they put on the clip, opening the clip without accidentally changing track is nearly impossible

The obvious flaw with the product is when your clipping it onto something it presses the back button, but its really not a big obstacle to overcome
