This little player is perfect

Not because I think it is the most awesome media player made because it is not.

This is a great little music player

But for one flaw, I think it would be the perfect audio book player.

and I have a ready mp3 player

The player is great and the sound seems to have improved from my much older 30 gig.

Clearly this is not the latest or greatest Apple has to offer, but it works like you would expect and it is more than adequate as a player for the gym (which is how I use it)

All in all, an excellent player and good value - definitely much easier and more comfortable for my runs and workouts than strapping my Nano onto my arm!

This is the perfect player for the gym and /or running.

Granted 2gb is not much, however I was simply looking for a portable player that I could easily carry on my commute, so that isn't a problem for me

Conclusion:If you know what an ipod shuffle does, need a reasonable music player that syncs with your itunes, and don't need more

So my idea to get around that problem and save time was to copy+paste all the songs I wanted to keep, clear out the player and re-paste the kept songs back in.

I am really upset that such a great little player was ruined by what someone though was a good idea.

:I guess not being able to drag/drop individual songs into the Shuffle can be a pain, but for my needs, this player is perfect.

And oh yeah, although Philips has some well-proven chops in consumer electronics (they invented the Compact Cassette and co-developed the CD, and made some of the only "good" early consumer grade CD players), I listened to the Vibe side by side on the same earphones, same compression levels, and same tune with the Shuffle, and the Shuffle was noticeably better

you haven't had a Apple product before, know that to load music onto this, you'll have to use ITunes... which is free, but is a pain to use (in my opinion).In summary: for the purpose of listening to tunes while being active... this (and the 2nd generation shuffle) is still the best player ever made.

It's the toughest little music player you'll find, and if parents have Apple accounts for their more delicate and pricey toys, you can synch this little tank right up and load it with songs for the kids
