Yes, it's tiny and the headphones are expensive to replace, but it's perfect when you use it while running or lifting weights

Apple moved the iPod control to the headphone wire, so you can't just say "OK, I'll buy the amazing iPod and scrap the bad headphones it comes with for good ones

If it did work, it would only be fully functional with the cheap Apple headphones that are uncomfortable, would not stay in the ear during vigorous running or exercise, and probably do not deliver acceptable sound quality.
