Apple iPod touch 32 GB (1st Generation) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • so convenient when on vacation to check e-mail and the sound quality is excellent.
    • 3rd gen ipod and a 8gb 2g ipod nano that both the ipod classic and the ipod touch have much better sound quality and are much more durable
    • (For best sound quality, I configured my rips to be 320 kbps MP3s.
    • Sound and VideoSound quality is slightly improved from previous models.
    • Easy to set-up, Great sound quality, Very intuitive-will switch from portrait to landscape by just turning the iPod, AWESOME picture when watching video, stores a ton of songsCons: Must plug it into computer to recharge it or buy separate charger, after hours of use, headphones hurt my ears-I'll have to get another set, wi-fi will not work on my college's wireless Internet, have to look at it to adjust volumeGreat productivity tool
    • ATRAC (now defunct) allowed a stupendous amount of music on the Sony device at decent quality
    • And the supposedly amazing technical qualities of course
    • I've bought a refurbished ipod from Amazon before and each time you want to make sure you're getting the best quality and a great price.
    • The sound quality on the other had is just okay its not stellar but its not honorable
    • The sound quality is mediocre at best
    • Unlike iPod classic, all flash memory means less failures and breakage+ Flash memory also awesome for running / working out, though I use my nano for that ;-)+ Coverflow actually works nicely on the Touch, much better than on the iPod nano+ Slightly better sound quality than 2nd
    • It's a small device and looks like one of things sacrificed is the sound quality because of a smaller, more power-efficient DAC.The largest drawback to the iPod touch is the battery life
    • There's a lot of apps you cannot buy from it being the old model, as well as it has no camera, other than that the ipod is good to go
