• Reviews around camera (3.05 of 5)

Apple iPod touch 64 GB Black (4th Generation) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

    • Outdoor it is perfectly fine, for what it is (not a true camera) however poor lighting and some indoor lightingyou may as well forget it
    • The poor camera on the iPod Touch was a bitter disappointment.
    • 5) almost any movies, games, music info and any pictures are displayed in almost the same resolution regardless of 3rd or 4th gen, 6) wireless connection does not make much difference on either device as download speeds are almost the exact same on wireless g or wireless n compared side by side, 7) Camera absolutely sucks on 4th gen and there are not many options at all to edit photos while they are being taken or after taking
    • The biggest complaint about the latest iPod Touch is the cameras.
    • I agree with some people who said they should have made the product bigger so they could add a decent camera, but it's not a huge deal for me either way.
    • Is the camera a total bust?
    • Apple really should have put in a better battery (I would rather have it have a better battery than a better camera).
    • The camera is great and I love the camcorder feature
    • My Droid x cost only half and has a resolution that rivals my actual camera
    • The rear camera on the iPod Touch is the disappointment.
    • The retina display is first class; the web browser excellent for such a small device; the sheer number of available functions truly awesome, the way the screen moves in response to finger-stroking actually sensual and organic, the camera-shutter-like `click' as it moves from one function to the next, reassuring
    • That thinness limits the cameras that will fit into the device
    • The cheap little front camera for Face Time, again, cool, nice touch.
    • It's not a "horrible" camera by any means, especially for being in a device under 8mm thick
    • I love the camera
    • I love the camera...you can switch your camera from the view forward to switching it or swiveling the camera's view around to view you or the picture taker (sounds confusing but so cool).
    • Both cameras are capable of taking still pictures but the results don't hold up to the iPhone 4 5-megapixel camera
    • Great camera and graphics.
    • all!The camera is not that good
    • The camera can be improved a lot
    • I wanted so much to like it, but I would have preferred the thickness of the #3 if that meant a better camera
    • Mediocre Camera on I-Pod Touch is incredible poor.
    • I will still use my cybershot 10 megapixel camera for any outdoor photos as th4 ipod camera is pathetic for the amount of time they had to develop a good camera
    • if Apple would have introduced the new iPod touch 4th generation as being as thick as say the iPhone 4 with the better camera fitting inside, nobody would have been complaining that it's too thick.
    • Downsides: camera is not the best; sound is great when listening on headphones, but not when playing from speakers on iPod.
    • The cameras are the only small disappointment.
    • The camera could be better, but I guess I really can't complain too much as it does take decent photos.
    • The camera is crap.
    • The camera too is fantastic
    • Now, there's a great camera and easy sync up with my computer.
    • had there been a better camera but a 2mp camera is better than no camera at all
    • The only thing that it lacks is a quality camera, however, the camera is good enough for anything on the internet, just not for printing pics, at least from what I've seen.
    • First, the still camera sucks.
    • Great idea...camera is cool except no zoom and no flash; Apps like the iBooks and social networking sites are cool to have when traveling
    • it's almost as bad as the camera on a Nintendo DSi
    • This iPod is a fine pocket computer, but, if you are waiting for a reasonable camera you will probably have a very long wait.
    • Like so many others have posted, the camera isn't world
    • The camera for the iPod touch 4th generation is SUBSTANTIALLY inferior to the current iPhone in a number of very important ways.
    • Mediocre Camera on I-Pod Touch is incredible poor.
    • The camera is so wonderful I can just post things right to the inernet with no hassle of downloading to my computer first
    • So I keep my #3 until Apple improves the cameras.
    • The camera and video are simple & reliable
    • I would much rather have an ipod that is thicker like the iphone and has a bit more substance behind it and some better camera options, video options and sound/quality options
    • Therefore, the front camera is not a total bust.
    • and you're stating that "They want us to pay $240 to $400 for an iPod with a terrible camera
    • I won't complain that the digital camera that's built into my high-def camcorder isn't as nice as it could have been
    • Movies just pop, photos (taken by a good camera) are beautiful, and the device is flat out fast.
    • Camera is horrible in low light, so forget about it, other than that works OK.
    • Don't leave home without a good cell phone camera (or a Nikon/Canon!)5)
    • This phone is great works well the camera is good
    • The poor camera on the iPod Touch was a bitter disappointment.
    • I thought they did it again with this years addition to the Ipod Touch which now has two cameras located one on the front and back just like the ones on the iphone 4g, which is advertised to take HD clarity pictures/video, I again traded my Ipod to buy this version
    • This ipod is like an iphone4g, this is a great product, the only two things i dont like are the camera and the bluetooth (cant send files to other bluetooth dispositives)
    • The camera irks me though
    • The camera could be better, but I guess I really can't complain too much as it does take decent photos.
    • And it makes a very good e-reader.
    • The camera could be better, but I guess I really can't complain too much as it does take decent photos.
