I especially love the Kindle app, since I have a Kindle and love it too; now I can pull my iTouch out of my purse when I'm standing in a line and read my book, right from where I left off, even in the dark!

It does pick up wi-fi signals and there is a free app where you can get a database of free wi-fi hotspots near you.

If you are looking for something just to play music it would be great, but for web browsing and apps not so good

When Kindle came out with an Itouch app, that was a deciding factor in going ahead and buying it!I will admit I don't use my Itouch for a lot of music or video, but I love it for reading, checking weather, making notes, and some of the great apps I have found

Found out Ipod had more features than originally thought and has download several additional apps which has helped in his job as well as for entertainment use

I can understand why the new iPods do not work with the Firewire devices, Apple probably did not want to support both 12 volts and 5 volts as it takes separate circuitry for each one, but to work with newer and to not work with the older USB devices is in my opinion, criminal
