I found that cleaning the surface of the old Magic Trackpad with alcohol (Everclear in my case) fixed it.

Aside from the fact that it's bigger, has a rechargeable battery, and the surface is so smooth, the touch feels so much better to me.

A larger, more responsive, surface area with force touch are all just added bonuses for me.

Believe me, tho u can save like 60 bucks for buying trackpad 1, you will find it really hard to control and difficult to click

If you take full advantage of such features as two finger swipe for back and forth in Safari, two finger scroll, or the five finger pinch to get to the app launcher, you will be at least as happy as before
