    • The hard drive crapped out less than 2 months after I bought it.
    • While this greatly increases storage size with a small design, it is vulnerable to hard drive failure ie its broken.-Physical hard drives fail more frequently than flashed based drives (iPod touches/nanos/phones)-Hard drive failure results in either ordering new device or paying a good deal of money replacing hard drive, requiring songsI am on my 4th iPod classic, all 160gb models
    • Buying one of these and replacing the platter based hard drive with a flash storage device (and the battery while you've got it open since that is a bit of a trick) will provide you with a player that will work hard for a decade while being both reliable and user friendly.

    • I love the amount of songs it holds as well as the drive.
    • Hard Drive pooped out on me after about a year so I could only use about half the storage capacity.
    • The major problem I see with this device is that as the hard drive is not a solid hard drive it is prone to corruption
    • Completely overhauled with new hard drive.
    • Damaged hard drive.
    • A few changes could make this thing thrive in a different marketA very smart personal media center or flash drivePlenty of smart drive/flash/external drive storage (program in a dynamic drive option in a new iTunes feature)Add some fashion of hdmi out connectorAnd if you really want an ideal personal (portable) entertainment center add wireless (rocu
    • There is not any other music player with the capacity and easy user interface out there.+Storage space (160gb)+Ease of UseHowever, this model, as all classics before it, utilizes a physical hard drive, much like computers with SSD do

    • This acts as my music player and hard drive for all my movies, TV series, and files in the office
    • I took it to our local Apple store and the tech checked the hard drive for defects, telling me there were no defects in it, also telling me it was out of warranty and that I should have purchased an extended warranty.
    • The battery works perfectly as does the hard drive (no corruption issues).
    • No stupid "cloud" - just a solid drive that works great.

    • Hard drive failure rendered the I pod useless
    • Has a very large hard drive that makes it possible for me to have all my music with me
    • and I wish they still made the ones with big hard drives.
    • Be aware this version still uses the old type of hard drive that uses a lot of power so try to avoid playing videoson the battery.
