I emailed the seller and was immediately told that the reader does not support compact flash transmission
I do not see anywhere in the description or reviews anywhere that it makes me aware that compact flash is not supported.

Even the manufacturer of the Dragonfly Red DAC, suggest you purchase this version of the Apple Lightning adapter, for portable AMP/DAC use with your iPhone.
It works well using a USB hub also, even at the same time as charging

As much as I like the reliability and sophistication of Apple products, the constant need (and cost) to buy new peripherals is a pain.
Using as a MIDI controller connector to add additional power, works as needed.

First they told me it only worked on a camera (false) then they told me my adapter was defective (false).
I bought this adapter to connect my midi keyboard (Akai mini) to iPad Pro and it works excellent.
This adapter was a little pricey, but the cheaper non of oem seem to always have issues
