I emailed the seller and was immediately told that the reader does not support compact flash transmission

I do not see anywhere in the description or reviews anywhere that it makes me aware that compact flash is not supported.

Perfect for using my compact flash drive to my phone.

Picked this up at a local Apple Store (would have purchased here but the need was time sensitive) in order to transfer phots from a dSLR (Nikon D700, Compact Flash card) to a 10.5" iPad Pro when traveling without a laptop

I love my iPad Pro but this product price reflects Apple's pripensity to price gouge instead of simply providing inputs of various sorts, as well as, the lack of a micro SD card for a storage alternative

Works as it should if you connect an ac adapter to it it will charge while you use what ever device you are connecting

It has limitations as to what types of files you are able to transfer - but the limitations for this device are the ones caused by what Apple has imposed in their iOS software.
