The cable has a horrible moldy smell to it

When I opened the box there was a really foul smell, and this white powder is coming off on my hands.

The smell that came off this cable is absolutely noxious

Our product arrived with a noticeable film along the entire cord and extremely overwhelming smell from improper storage

Also, the horrible smell gives it away as being fake.

The chord itself had an odd smell to it, which I have never experienced with any apple products and there was a long black hair wrapped into it, again something I have never experienced with an apple product

I regret buying from here- :( rather pay $2more and smell free from Apple store.

The packaging and the cord itself had a very strong mildew smell.

But i'm giving it 3 stars because it definitely has a terrible smell like other reviewers complained of

Wire isolation produces terrible smell and looks like very low-level quality

The smell is like Chlorine

Immediately after unboxing the cord had a strange rubber smell

If you don’t like mold smell, do not but this product.
