I removed the heat sink when disassembling and checking for loose connections, and used this for reinstalling the heat sink.
-
Recently used it to bond a large heat sink for a Parallella-16 Desktop I feel confident using it
-
I bought this because the thermal paste that came with my heat sink was garbage and this worked great my cpu is running real cool now.
-
Replaced my heat sink using this product, and it actually lowered my CPU temperature by almost 10
-
I reassembled the laptop with some heat sink compound I had on hand and noticed my fan seemed to run louder and longer
-
Works as expected for lap top heat sink.
-
Used this instead of the compound that came with the heat sink.
-
That's still high (likely need a better heat sink or to improve airflow
-
...not much to say, but was able to use this to install CPU heat-sink.
-
Used on heat sink and it works.
-
I bought this since I had purchased a new heat sink
-
This is a remarkable solution for any device that uses a copper or Aluminum heat sink
-
On an older 4-core Dell model, I remounted the heat sink using this paste and got a 12 degree drop over the stock paste.
-
This along with my new heat sink keeps my CPU nice and cool!
-
It was easy to apply and "spread" on the heat sink surface, and the end result was my CPU temps dropped by 15 degrees F at idle, and 30 F under heavy load
-
There are many different types of thermal paste productsMost of the Arctic line is focused upon computer heat sink installation
-
I use the recommended pea size bead on cpu center and mount the heat sink which spreads a consistent smooth layer while tightening
-
i put it to replace the old AS 5 goop that had been down between the heat sink and cpu that kept a 38-41° normal running temps
-
I've been putting off replacing cleaning up the heat sink and radiator because I don't feel comfortable cracking open a laptop.
-
That's still high (likely need a better heat sink or to improve airflow
-
Did not experience better thermal conductivity compared to other compounds but the application was some custom joining of 2 heat sinks, not CPUs.
-
Arctic Silver 5 is tacky and rather thick which is well suited to heat sinks which have a lot of pressure from the screws holding it on.
-
So long story short unless your gonna spend at least a hundred dollars on a FANTASTIC heat sink don't waste your money or spark your OCD over cpu temps, its not worth it.
-
so I cleaned my heat sink and Cpu and reapplied maybe 6 or 7 times in different ways
-
so far, the only difference is mx-4 , and the vagaries of direct tubes in the heat sink spaces and gaps that need more or less goo depending on heat sink and grease and who is giving instructions
-
Great for when you are replacing processors or items that have a heat sink.
-
One site on the internet recommended removing the heat sink fins from the processor chip, cleaning the surfaces between the two, then resting the with new thermal compound.
-
so I cleaned my heat sink and Cpu and reapplied maybe 6 or 7 times in different ways
-
The removal, cleaning, and re-seating of the heat sinks was the hardest part.
-
Perfect thermal paste for a heat sink.
-
This paste is just not as good as AS5
-
Works as it's suppose to
-
Works as it says
-
Bought a 4g syringe a while back and it lasted through 2 AM3+ applications, a reapplication on a 750 Ti as well as on other gpus that needed thermal paste redone
-
Works as it should for a good price.
-
Works as it should.
-
It worked as it was supposed to.
-
It seems to cool just as well as AS-5, but not having to worry about the paste squeezing out and touching sensitive components is a major relief
-
I purchased this to use on some older PCs and hardware, as well as
-
I have to say it certainly worked as my PC is no longer overheating--and I'm pretty confident about that since it has been consistently fine for about a year now.
-
Ordered this, works as it should and got my cpu temps back down to normal.
-
Works as it should with a good price!
-
K very cool with my Corsair H110i cooler
