I used this cleaning kit as directed, and it did an excellent job.

Im very thorough when it comes to cleaning the cpu and heatsink and this did a great job.

I would say it did a better job than even isopropyl alcohol does.

Made removing thermal paste super easy and the second bottle does a great job of preparing it for the new paste.

Until I tried this stuff, I was using isopropyl alcohol to clean the heat sink/CPU surfaces, and I thought I was doing a good job of getting rid of the grit.

i recommend for removing the old paste if possible with just a cotton ball first before apply the thermal material remover (1) its less of a messy job.

I thought I was probably throwing money away!I used alcohol in the past and thought that that did a good job.

That old stuff was caked on but this cleaner did a great job, and I felt like I was able to get the old thermal compound cleaned off right down to bare metal

This wasn't worth deducting a star though as the product does a very good job in removing any thermal compound.
