The software and controller don't work in perfect harmony with my DAWS

The software is protected by iLok which means it has to be authorized before you can do anything.

So sense the software is unstable, I'm not comfortable giving this product the full 5 stars, but in time if they fix the issues that effect me, I'll come back and add to this review.*Edit*The new Spark 2 software is a huge improvement

Like so many products from the last 5 years or so mandatory proprietary drivers/software threaten to be the Achille's heel of a superb hardware design.
