The one downside I have to this is that I wish it came in a better variety of colors, maybe solid colors like purple instead of the gaming skins, but the Halo ones look absolutely stunning on my white a40s
The speaker tags, top headpiece, mic, and ear cushions are more dark green than the photos show, but still a very nice color
I love the astro mod kit, the color was a little more toy-ish blue than I expected.
The red color goes PERFECT with my setup and make them look excellent
You will not be dissapointed! and a easier way to take off the headstrap part is pulling it outwards opposed to up and down!
If it wasn't for living with someone else in a shared room, I wouldn't have thought at all about purchasing these, as great as they are, it's difficult to justify the $60 price tag
Works as it says it should mic is an upgrade and is longer so it goes in front of your mout

Works great, now I can listen to my potentially embarrassing anime music at high volume at the office without weird looks.
Although the mod kit gives the headset a better look, it's not worth $60
Like the green color obviously......totally changes the look of the headset!
The look of these are much better in my opinion than the standard white plates that I have

Comfort: the leather like ear pieces are a nice upgrade over the stock ear pieces
Overall a very nice upgrade from the original pads that came with my a40 trs, but the mic piece is a little bulky and tends to move on it’s ownatter extended play
I love how well these new cups isolate sound around me, its a great upgrade, however, I still have problems with the mic.

However the product was in great shape and seemed to be of great quality
Very good quality and does a pretty darn good job at being noise cancelling
While they are extremely comfortable mine was missing all the magnets from the one ear cup and a lot of the stitching is loose instead of tight, and I know this isn’t a one off situation as I know a lot of people that got these mod kits and had to return them because of terrible quality control
So if background noise is your main concern and you want the Best possible sound quality then you need the mod kit.
It really is great quality as far as sound goes, but it doesn't fit tight enough and falls down way too easy.
What I suggest is if you buy this, on both closed back speaker tags, cut the lip around the edge that "closes the gap", thus making them open back, or if you don't want a speaker tag with a hole then keep one of your old tags and only cut the lining off the solid tag (its also a very tedious
If it came with 2 solid tags this would have been actually worth the $60 but it doesn't because astro wants money, and they will get it too because they make some awesome headsets (minus the mic).

The closed back Tournament Ready swappable tags really are special
the case comes with one solid tag and one tag with a hole for the mic... a closed back tag
I thought the headset drowned out noise before but it got way better with this
This headset looks great for those of you who care about the looks
The cups are smaller than I thought, after using them for long sessions my ears started hurting, never before happened with the regular ones, also the headband is very hard to take apart, so hard that I broke my headset in doing so
A must have uograde if tou habe the a40 tr, great noise canceling , mic upgrade is awesome , and mekes the headset more comfortable !
are very comfortable and don't get too sweaty after long sessions, and the whole kit makes the headset look great.
Great noise canceling and longer mic for better positioning
But the leather is nice and softHas Great noise cancellationEasy to installPrice is a little much but its worth it (quality material)
I really can't say this enough, if you can enjoy your Astros in a quieter setting (your room) where outside noise doesn't become a problem while playing, don't buy these

The microphone really does cut back on unwanted background noise
I live in NYC and in a loud environment where there’s a lot of cars and trains going by all
Not worth it unless you are in a VERY distracting, noisy environment.
