Given all of that, i am still satisfied overall, 14 minutes isn't all that long, i can burn 4 dvd's per hour, and for a portable solution i think that's fine

Very sleek DVD-RW portable drive that burns massively for my projects.

At 8x it should burn a full dvd in about 8-9 minutes (including closing the disc) but it takes a good 13-14 minutes

I did a lot of research to find a portable DVD drive that would work with Windows 8 - the ASUS External Slim Optical Drive works great with Windows 8.I was able to easily plug in the two USB connections (one for data, and one for power) from the DVD drive and insert the disc to load it onto my computer, but once I loaded a DVD movie into the drive nothing would happen
