The vertical viewing angle is not great, it's intended to be pointed directly at you

The viewing angle on this monitor is so bad, I can see color distortions on the sides when looking at it straight on from the center of the screen.

Freesync rang of 40-144hz and the colors are incredibly true, view angles aren't as bad as I expected and very very little backlight bleed.

The color is so bad compared to IPS, and the viewing angle is horrific

Stay away from the BenQ TN 144Hz Freesync panel as I did tried both these monitors in store and the BenQ just doesn't have the vibrant color and great viewing angle that the MG279Q has.

No traditional problems associated with TN panels (limited viewing angles)

The vertical viewing angle is even worse, making it useless for portrait orientation usage.

And the viewing angles looks worst every day

and you can't see any backlight bleeding which is great!-But as any TN panel, the viewing angles are a little weak

Upgraded from my 1080p 144hz panel and i'm not disappointed its a premium product overall and colors still look fantastic, viewing angles are slightly above average for this type of panel.
