• Reviews around bleed (1.75 of 5)

ASUS MX279H 27-Inch, Full HD 1920x1080 IPS, Audio by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower HDMI VGA Frameless Monitor

    • It beats every other gaming monitor I've used by a longshot but the light bleed is too distracting, to the point that everyone that sees it, they ask if my monitor is DAMAGED!
    • The monitor arrived with no dead pixel and minimum back light bleed
    • this monitor was the best value, and as far as i have seen with my searches, has some of the best reviews and least quality control issues i have seen, and that is why i chose this one.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Pros:-fantastic picture quality-vibrant colors-no Quality control issues (such as dead pixels and backlight bleed which seem to plague a lot of higher end monitors)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Cons:-to hook up with display port, for some reason after everything has plugged in and turned on, the monitor doesnt recognize the cable, its a quick fix of unplugging the power cable and plugging it back in, still weird though.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------the only thing that could make this better for
    • But it has one problem: severe light bleeding, specifically in the lower left corner
    • No dead pixels, very minor bleed and great color, very vivid
    • Shame on Asus for shipping out panels with severe backlight bleeding issues
    • Pros: - Very little light bleed (I sent back 4 different monitors before purchasing this one) - True color right out of the
    • Not sure if it's exclusive to my monitor, but the light bleed in the corners of the monitor are really bad
    • No dead pixels, no backlight bleed or any of that.
    • I returned two of these because of an unreasonable backlight bleed and bought a different monitor from a different manufacturer
    • My monitor, right out of the box had severe backlight bleeding
    • ASUS is a good company, but their monitors are plagued with bleed through (This is what the backlight appearing too bright in sections is called) - HOWEVER - compared to my last ASUS monitor, the bleed through on this one isn't nearly so bad, and on normal screens it's not even noticeable
    • I returned the first Asus MX27AQ due to pretty bad light bleed, especially on the upper left corner, along the top and the lower left corner of the display.
    • and they do not have severe backlight bleeding, so it is indeed an issue with my unit, or the Asus panel in general, not sure
    • I just pray in the future monitor manufacturers produce higher quality monitors without this awful bleed
    • The monitor itself is beautiful and has a broad range of colors without over-saturating anything, but if there is one complaint I have, it's that the backlight bleed is more prominent than I expected and the viewing angle doesn't seem as good as my last IPS monitor, especially when it comes to the vertical axis
    • There is horrible light bleed on the bottom of the monitor, even Amazon has a note talking about this
    • Minimal "glow" is okay for an IPS panel but my unit has backlight bleed over large portions of the panel, making it unusable if you're trying to watch a video that is dark
    • The first monitor I received had a significant backlight bleed near the bottom right bezel on top of the 2nd control button from the left and also had a dead pixel near the top 1/3 left of the screen
    • This moniter is not for gaming was playing the division and the blacks are horrible so much backlight bleed
    • while i should have guessed, a 700$ TN panel, in my case, outperformed this IPS in both speed, and color, and the LED bleed on this is really bad
    • Sure, some backlight bleeding is to be expected with IPS panels, but my unit has SEVERE backlight bleeding
    • while i should have guessed, a 700$ TN panel, in my case, outperformed this IPS in both speed, and color, and the LED bleed on this is really bad
    • It was a cheaper brand but being a TN guy for a long time, I really hated the light bleed
    • First one I got had significant backlight bleeding
    • Best,David L
