ASUS tech support was completely unhelpful, suggesting the use of LEGACY which did nothing but slowed performance, and selecting channel 11 which also did nothing to resolve the issue

For the money it's a great router with good features and top notch performance

While its wireless performance was good in close quarters (i.e. less than 25 ft), as soon as I walked over to the next room, or upstairs or to the basement, signal strength fell precipitously to the point that an iPhone would switch over to LTE
