This thing replaced a Linksys router that I purchased about 18 months ago (I was getting tired of having to power-cycle the old Linksys router every few days because some devices would lose connection and couldn't reconnect

By disabling smart connection you will choose which band to connect to at all time, such as 5Ghz if it's within range at all times, or you can connect to 2.4 Ghz at all times which is suffiecient for gaming, youtube-ing, etc.

This router replaced a Netgear Nighthawk x6 r8000, besides this router being night and day faster paired with this WiFi Adapter, the connection was quite a bit more stable

The connection is steady, it definitely improved my internet speed as my old router was just a manufacturer router from the ISP which was terrible

So in order to print on my Canon InkJet or my Brother Laser, I have to power cycle them before each print job to refresh their WiFi connections

Very fast and easy to configure and like the ability to setup the smart connection and the router decides what band will be the best to have a device connect to.
