The ASUS AC2900 Extreme is just that: Superb performance, excellent information, fast and connectivity is generally easy.
-
In a connected home with NEST and RING products which require a 2.4GHz band, I would expect better performance in this band than what we had from the AC3200
-
very good performance.
-
Good performance and a lot of configuration possibilities.
-
I noticed they get a little nice performance boost
-
Excellent performance and easy setup
-
Great performance w/ home wifi
-
Slow and unstable 2.4GHz performance
-
After troubleshooting, updating the firmware, and restoring to factory defaults, the 2.4 band eventually started working (although with significant performance loss) but then the 5GHz SSID stopped broadcasting entirely
-
Improved our internet performance.
-
my kid hate that I can downgrade performance on specific devices whenever they are hugging all the bandwidth.
-
Tried 2 of these, with unacceptable performance whenever QoS was enabled
-
But, forgetting what I know and just using the default settings resulted in a great performance on my local area network by all devices and my (yuk) satellite internet access service greatly improved, though I do not claim to yet know why.
-
Very respectable performanceSet up is straight forward and performance is good.
-
Overall performance is excellent, signal range is superior to my previous device, and I am extremely pleased with this purchase
-
I like the performance of ASUS router products
-
I think the AC3100 seems to have some issues like poor 2.4 ghz performance.
-
I wanted to replace my Apple Airport Extreme, which had a rock solid performance, with something newer since Apple discontinued its wireless router line
-
so far performance seem outstanding!
-
No performance issues
-
Web router app poor performance.
-
Noticeably better performance and build quality than the AC-68U it replaced.
-
Solid performance and coupling up with another router in an ai-mesh setup was a piece of cake.
-
Easy to set up and operate, great performance!
-
Gave up after a week of anxiety, frustration and disappointment...sad to see such poor performance from previously reliable ASUS
-
Never mind the fact that in their advertisements, the so-called quantum gateway is touted to overcome many of the very same issues they blame for its poor performance
-
Wireless performance is solid
-
At this price the performance of this router is unacceptable
-
would say you could spend maybe a $100 less and get more than adequate performance for most needs.
-
About 30 devices connected, bought this to see if I could get any better performance from my Asus RT-AC3200
-
Great speeds and performance.
-
It's a little on the pricey end of consumer routers but well worth it if you need strong wireless performance, plenty of throughput for a consumer model and a decent amount of wired ports
-
This router is a dream to setup, performance is fantastic and the GUI interface is the best in the industry
-
Like many I had bought into the Linksys WRT1900ACS hype only to find it didn't match the steady performance of it's famed predecessor
-
Kind of disappointing with the $$$ spent expecting much better performance.
-
Excellent coverage and performance.
-
I definetely recommend this for good wifi performance
-
Great Performance
-
Poor performance is now shadowed by a bad firmware update
-
As far as performance is concerned i usually have both of my computers turned on and doing something
-
Performance has been excellent as been maintaining&using it
-
Fantastic performance, both in 2 and 5Ghz
-
Rock solid performance!
-
After reading all of the review it truly does have optimal performance.
-
Performance is spotty
-
Great performance so far, had it for more than 3 months and increased my range through thick walls
-
my kid hate that I can downgrade performance on specific devices whenever they are hugging all the bandwidth.
-
Called customer service twice and no success to improve performance.
-
Sad that an old G Linksys is staying connected more consistantly and showing better performance than this router.
-
This is a router for superb performance, especially with multiple connections at once.
-
What good is great performance, when that performance is short-lived
-
Very easy installation, and very good performance throughout my home.
-
The AirPort was able to handle the Gigabit without any trouble, so it was really about insuring the performance isn't any worse and how easy it is to administer
-
The performance is mediocre at best.
-
I think it's a great performance for the cost.
-
The 5 gig band does hold on to its connected devices but suffers from poor performance.
-
and at one point for about 30 minutes achieved really good performance (50 MB/s) only to have performance tank without me changing anything with the fixes in place the next day
-
I absolutely don't need a device on my network that sends out my private information while degrading the network performance.
-
good performance!!
-
After making these changes, I have noticed no downside in the router's otherwise stellar performance.
-
Excellent performance on both bands.
-
More importantly, the performance was bad.
-
The Asus covers my main concern secure and reliable performance
-
Not expecting a good performance.
-
The Asus covers my main concern secure and reliable performance
-
I did go in and tweak some of the setting because this router had some better features and performance.
-
It is magnificent in terms of price, easy setup, performance, capacity, heck - you name it
-
I bought it at a reasonable price, but I feel very happy about the arrival of new products, and the performance is better than the traditional ones.
-
However AiMesh has allowed me to repurpose my old Asus router as a mesh “access node” giving me full home coverage with much better performance than I was getting from an extender
-
I bought a pair of these to replace a pair of RT-AC66u's and the performance has been abysmal
-
The thing we didn’t like was performance
-
Stable and extremely fast LAN-WAN routing performance, which is one of my key requirements (to not be a bottle neck to whatever the modem is providing on the WAN side).
-
Not worth considering given its much higher price, inferior performance and functionality.
-
Superior Performance
-
I subscribe to gigabit internet service but never see anything close to that speed over wifi due to the extremely weak range and poor wifi performance of my so-called quantum gateway
-
I really like the performance
-
The performance is outstanding.
-
exceptional performance and quality.
-
For now, the performance has been spectacular
-
This router has tons of features, and great performance.
-
I'm really bummed as I was excited about this router and have had nothing but good things to say about ASUS from my experience with my old router
-
We have multiple clients attached, our labtop can finally work as it was designed
-
The downside is that file transfers for my laptop to my multi homed NAS box (an 8 by Synology with network teaming) isn't as fast as with the Google OnHub that I pulled out to test this.
-
Very frustrating as I'm technology literate and have used an earlier model with similar firmware.
-
I've had high hopes of one day it may just start working as it should considering what I've paid for it
-
I asked for a warranty replacement instead because I have no other router, but they have to escalate it up and get it approved as that is not standard procedure
-
Using the smart connect rules, I was able to get the router to stabilize as long as I kept everything from connecting to the 5Ghz-1 (Lower) channel.
-
QoS and bandwidth manager works as it should
-
Works as it is supposed to
-
They will not give you a refund for the unit and will continue to send you a refurbished unit that is very likely to break as it seems these are hit or miss on hardware issues
