Many people seem to prefer IPS displays, but I prefer TNs for the faster response times

It has one of the best response times/input lag out of all of the newer "fast ips" monitors

This monitor has a great response time and picture quality.

While other brands and models I was looking at advertised a 1ms response times (like the similar ASUS VG279Q), they were various IPS and VA panels instead of a TN panel like the 278.

I'll gladly take the SLIGHTLY worse colors in trade for a much better response time and no risk of backlight bleed/IPS glow with this monitor.

The only problem was the 5ms response

I replaced a B**Q Z*w*e, and this is just as fast response but the refresh is higher (165Hz currently).

I absolutely love the picture quality and response of this monitor at 1ms and 144 Hz

It's not too expensive, boasts a 1440p resolution with 144hz refresh rate, and uses a pretty good VA panel to produce good colors, contrast, and fast enough pixel response for the most part
