As others have stated, having the model number on the screen at all times is a little weird, but it doesn't change the functionality of the device

but you have to go online to get more detailed information and the model number doesn't even appear in AT&T's list.

I cannot understand the purpose of the model number on the idle screen which the user cannot change to something more relevant or at least be able to increase the font size of the date and time

their agent in the Philippines told me this model number is sold only by Amazon so of course that explains why you will have to jump thru hoops trying to get information about this after you buy it.i can't stand cellphones, delayed transmissions, people talking over each other, static, calls cutting out, poor fidelity and tinny
