Pretty much as expected caller ID helps when identifying unknown callers and those who try to block their number.

Quite simply, the caller ID function does not work.

The biggest negatives I can say about it is the Caller ID LCD display is small and hard to read, the display and buttons aren't illuminated, and it takes 4 AA batteries (to power the LCD display, memory, and "in use" light)

Other complaint is that the Caller ID is not back lit, very difficult to see and I have to tip the phone toward the light source to read before answering

Of course, there is a chance I got a bad one, but nonetheless, I just don't have the time to return it to the store, and I probably threw out the receipt anyway, thinking I could trust an AT&T product.
