You must use the spikes or else your speaker wires will go under the bottom plate causing the stand to wobble (you need the clearance on the bottom that your spikes will provide by elevating the stand).Conclusion - I use these for my side surround speakers in a 7.1 setup.

Other than that, the stands are easy to assemble and reasonably sturdy

Remember, though, much more stable stands will cost more, may still lack some stability because of the ubiquitous small steel bases, and will cost typically significantly more than $100 per pair (as a starting price.

I wish I had saved my money for some nicer stands with weighted bases and no plastic parts.

The 6" x 6" speaker mounting plate is sufficient in size for the rear surround speakers these stands will be supporting

The stands are easy to put together and the base has 2 positions you can use with a screw or without the screw to secure it you can turn the base in any position you need

These seemed like decent stands, but the non scratch feet they have you use for the base are so freaking fragile they might as well be glass

I recommend these stands as a sturdy space saving stand for small speakers at a reasonable price.

Great stand for small shelf speakers

Overall nice stands for the price except for the cheap carpet spikes which broke on one of the stands.

I would probably not recommend this since I don't think the stand is generally that stable.

So if you don't mind changing the feet and using something different to keep the speakers from sliding off the top of the stands, they are pretty good stands and a good price.

The stands are hollow and allow hiding of the speaker cables, and the holes for the cables are wide enough to allow large sized banana plugs to fit
